The key opens the safe deposit box at First National. The papers inside are for my brother. Don’t let anyone talk you out of taking them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n I had no idea what he meant.<\/p>\n The next morning, I went to the bank.<\/p>\n Inside the box was a life insurance policy.<\/p>\n And a cashier’s check.<\/p>\n The amount was $8,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Exactly what I had been unable to give him five years earlier.<\/p>\n There was also another letter.<\/p>\n This one was shorter.<\/p>\n \u201cYou tried to help me once.
